Chus L. Esteban, madrileño de nacimiento comenzó su carrera profesional a finales de los 80 en su propia ciudad, en plena euforia del movimiento acid-house, en la sala Alien, una de las primeras discotecas del conocido grupo kapital. En Agosto de 1992 fue invitado a residir el mítico club Portugués KADOC, donde compartió cabina y mantuvo relación con los mejores djs internacionales, siendo testigo privilegiado de la evolución de la ´Dance Music´ en la década de los 90, fue entonces, cuando influenciado por el característico sonido underground portugués y americano, su estilo tomó el rumbo definitivo hacia el house. En Septiembre del 94 inauguró la madrileña sala Teatro kapital, uno de los primeros clubs de House en Madrid, durante 7 años mantuvo las dos residencias, Kadoc (en verano) y Kapital (en invierno) hasta finales del 2000. Durante el año 2001 organizó periódicamente sesiones especiales con programación de artistas internacionales en Kapital. Primero con el nombre de Disctraction y posteriormente con el de ´Iberican Sound Sessions´ que pasaron a realizarse en Ibiza en el verano del 2002. En septiembre de ese mismo año comenzó una etapa itinerante bajo el nombre ´IBERICAN SOUND WORLD TOUR´. Sin duda lo mas fascinante en la carrera de Chus es su faceta como productor que comenzó junto a David Penn, propietario del sello ZEN RECORDS (93-94), donde cosechó éxitos como Kadoc "the night train", posteriormente en el sello MD RECORDS de Dimas & Martinez donde publicó el primer disco bajo su nombre, Dj Chus "Kapital of House", (95-98) poco después junto a Beto Cerutti editó éxitos que alcanzaron altas posiciones en los charts europeos como Nitro y Polaris. Bajo el alter ego de The Latin Lovers creó el tema ´Voices of Savanna´, licenciado por el sello ingles Boo records y que marcó el comienzo de lo que hoy conocemos como el Iberican Sound. En 1999 creo su propia productora STEREO PRODUCTIONS. Los 2 primeros años fueron de intenso trabajo de estudio, trabajando con artistas como David Penn, Oscar de Rivera, Joeski, Halo Vargas, Dano, Tony Hewitt ó Isaac Indart. En marzo de 2001, decidió transformar lo que hasta entonces habia sido la plataforma para licenciar sus trabajos para sellos como Boo, Black Vinyl, Fluential, NRK, 20:20 Vision, Maya recordings, Uncle P. music, Red Melon, Bluem recordings, Doubledown, Moody recordings ó Defected, en su propio sello discográfico junto a Pablo Ceballos y a Carlos Calico (responsable de la agencia de management y bookings Monophone Dj Agency). Sin duda el tema que lanzó su carrera fue ´Dj Chus presents The Groove Foundation - That Feeling´, premiado a mejor producción house 2002 por la prestigiosa revista española DEEJAY y licenciado para todo el mundo por Defected records. Su trabajo como remixer junto a Pablo Ceballos, o junto a David Penn le ha dado un gran prestigio internacional, habiendo remezclado a artistas de la talla de Madonna, Paris Hilton, Enrique Iglesias, Yoko Ono, Kathy Brown, Deep Dish, Danny Tenaglia, Superchumbo, Tedd Patterson ó Sandy Rivera entre otros. En todos estos años Chus ha dejado un legado discográfico muy importante donde podemos deleitarnos con su talento en el arte del djing en innumerables CDS recopilatorios. En 2001 realizó para el sello Beat-Freak recordings su primer recopilatorio en solitario bajo el nombre de DJ CHUS presents IBERICAN SOUND! Con el que definió definitivamente lo que hoy conocemos como su estilo mas caracteristico. A finales de 2002 lanza junto a Ceballos el primer CD MIX de Stereo, ´One Year of IBERICAN SOUND´, una recopilación de todas las producciones del sello en su primer año de vida, el principio de una trilogía que se completa con las dos siguientes ediciones del 2003 y 2004 llamadas ´This is Iberican Sound´. En verano de 2003 editó para Defected el doble CD recopilatorio ´Amplified, The best of the Stereo Productions´. En 2004 y con la expansión del uso del CD por parte de los djs profesionales lanzó una nueva colección de CDS recopilatorios llamados ´Stereo Productions presents unmixed series´ destacando, ´Balearica´, (3 volumenes) y que recibió el premio a Mejor recopilatorio del año en los DeejayMags. ´Madrid Underground´ (2 volumenes) otra excelente selección de temas de artistas ibéricos de la capital española. En 2005 y tras ser elegido junto a Abel Ramos por Playstation para ser la imagen del juego ´DJ DECKS & FXS´ un emulador virtual de una cabina de deejay, lanzan un recopilatorio con el nombre ´From house to Trance´ en el que ambos muestran una vez mas su impresionante técnica. A lo largo de su carrera ha sido galardonado con innumerables premios, entre los que cabe destacar Mejor Dj House y Mejor Dj del año en los DEEJAYMAGS españoles. Actualmente esta entre los 100 mejores Djs del mundo según varios medios de comunicación especializados. El House music y su particular visión de la música electrónica a través del ´IBERICAN SOUND´ su marca de identidad, son el fiel reflejo del estilo y la calidad que Dj Chus imprime en sus sesiones, influencias latinas, afro-tribales, densas y contundentes, cargadas de ritmo que junto a la seriedad de los sonidos que utiliza y la depurada técnica en las mezclas hacen que sus sets esten llenos de energia y buen gusto, convirtiendole en un artista carismático y auténtico, él tiene ese don, el feeling y el groove... 100% Pure House, 100% Iberican Sound!Madrilenian Chus L Esteban began his professional career in the late 80´s in his own city when Acid House was in its summit at Alien venue, one of the first clubs of the well known Kapital Group. In August 1992 he was invited to be the resident Dj of Portuguese club KADOC, where he shared booth and met the best international Dj´s, what made him see the evolution of ´Dance Music´ in the 90´s. It was then when his sound turned into house thanks to the influence of the characteristic Portuguese and American underground sound. In 2001 he organized periodic sessions with international artists at Kapital. Using at the beginning the name of “Disctraction”, the parties were transformed into the ´Iberican Sound Sessions´ and Ibiza saw those parties during the summer of 2002. In September 2002 they became itinerant parties with the name ´Iberican Sound World Tour´. The most interesting part of Chus´ career is his production side, which began with David Penn owner of Zen Records and Urbana recordings. He achieved great success with productions like ´The Night Train´. After that period he released his first solo record as Dj Chus, ´Kapital of House´. Soon he released with Beto Cerutti some tracks, which climbed to the first positions of numerous prestigious charts all around Europe, using the name of Nitro and Polaris. Under the aka of The Latin Lovers he published the track ´Voices of Savanna´, which was licensed by English label Boo Records and was the beginning of the sound known today as Iberican Sound. In 1999 Chus founded Stereo Productions. The first couple of years were of intense studio work collaborating with artists like David Penn, Oscar de Rivera, Joeski Halo Varga, Dano, Tony Hewitt or Isaac Indart. In march 2001 he decided to transform what was his platform to release his tracks in labels like Boo, Black Vinyl, Fluential, NRK, 20:20 Vision, Maya recordings, Uncle P. music, Red Melon, Bluem recordings, Doubledown, Moody recordings or Defected into his own music label with Pablo Ceballos and Carlos Calico (Monophone Dj Agency and management responsible). Without doubt the track which launched Dj Chus career was ´Dj Chus presents The Groove Foundation – That Feeling´, awarded with Best House Track 2002 by prestigious Spanish magazine DEEJAY and licensed worldwide by Defected Records. His remixing work with David Penn or Pablo Ceballos has given him international prestige, having remixed great artists like Madonna, Paris Hilton, Enrique Iglesias, Yoko Ono, Kathy Brown, Deep Dish, Danny Tengalia, Superchumbo, Tedd Patterson or Sandy Rivera among others. During all these years Chus has left an important musical legacy where we can delight our hears with his djing talent in numerous Cd mixes. In 2001 he recorded for Beat-Freak his first solo mixing compilation, ´DJ CHUS presents IBERICAN SOUND!´. In that compilation he managed to define what we know today as Iberican Sound. The end of 2002 saw the launching together with Pablo Ceballos of the firs Stereo´s Cd mix; ´One Year of IBERICAN SOUND´, a compilation of all label´s tracks during its first year of life and the first release of a series of three compilations, which were released in 2003 and 2004 with the name of ´This is Iberican Sound´. In summer 2003 he released with Defected a double CD compilation called ´Amplified, The best of the Stereo Production´. In 2004 and making the most of the use of the CD by professional Dj´s he launched a new series of compilations called ´Stereo productions presents Unmixed Series´. The most important release of this series was ´Balearica´ (3 volumes), which received the best Compilation award in 2003 DeejayMag´s awards. ´Madrid Underground´ (2 volumes) was another part of this series with the best selection of iberican tracks and artists from Spain´s capital city. Through his career he has won a lot of awards like Best House DJ and Best DJ of the Year in Deejaymag´s awards. Nowadays he is one of the 100 Best Worldwide Dj´s according to some international press media. House music and his electronic music particular vision through his trademark Iberican Sound are Chus´ sign of identity. You can hear his great style and quality in one of his countless sessions worldwide. A clear latin influence, a heavy and dense afro-tribal feeling, a great rhythm component, the seriousness of the sounds he uses and his great professional technique make his sets full of energy and good taste.
